New Title
Provides high-level administrative support for company leaders to ensure they can efficiently accomplish key tasks and company initiatives. Sheila started with Monacacy Valley Electric in 2007 with a background in financing and accounting. She also is the company Assistant Facility Security Officer and supports employee clearance requirements for government projects. She enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her son in many activities.
Estimator
Brandon works as an Estimator at Monacacy Valley Electric.
Accounts Payable
Sarah works in accounts payable at Monacacy Valley Electric.
Field Superintendent
Mike began his electrical career after graduating high school as an apprentice in 2004. He completed his electrical apprenticeship through the IEC and Penn Foster, and holds an Associate in Arts degree in Business Management from Harrisburg Area Community College.
Mike joined the team at Monacacy Valley Electric in 2014. He works with project management and job foremen to ensure that jobs are appropriately planned and tasks effectively executed.
Project Manager
Steve has been with Monacacy Valley since 2017 as a Project Manager. His primary responsibility is to oversee construction projects and ensure they are competed with maximum customer satisfaction and profitability. Prior to joining our team, he had 11 years of experience in the airline industry as a General Contractor traveling throughout the east coast and Midwest. Projects that he worked on included retail and office fit-outs, concourse refurbishments, jet bridges and security improvements.
Executive Vice President / Procurement
Functions as manager of procurement for all projects and responsible for overseeing project logistics. Involved in company administration and day-to-day operations.
Kelsey was born in Littlestown. She graduated from Littlestown High School in 2010. She attended Misericordia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She started with Monacacy Valley Electric after college and continues to be an administrative asset to the company.
Vice President
Field Manager of government contracts and operations. Functions as Manager of Field Operations in the day-to-day operation of the company. Responsible to coordinate and install to specifications all electrical contracts within predetermined budget guidelines. The position is responsible for all field operations and any support functions that are required.
He has an associate of arts degree in forest technology from Allegany Community College and has completed two semesters in basic electricity from Frederick Community College. Larry worked as a pulpwood yard foreman for Glatfelter Pulpwood Company from 1975 to 1977. After spending a year at Wood Chips, Inc. as a forester he returned to Glatfelter where he split his time as a yard foreman and an assistant logging foreman. Larry joined Monacacy Valley Electric in 1980 as a field helper until being promoted to foreman in 1982. In 1983 Larry was promoted to field supervisor, a position he held until he and his brother bought out the business. Larry is a licensed Master Electrician in Maryland.
Vice President
Functions as liaison to government contractors and project coordination. Oversees day-to-day operation of the federal contracts. Responsible to meet and establish goals and growth objectives of the projects and to plan and execute the necessary activities to support and promote project deadlines.
After graduating from high school, he started his career in the electrical contracting business. He enlisted in the United States Army, and worked as a Pershing Missile crewman until his honorable discharge in 1976. He worked as an electrical contractor until June of 1978 when he joined Monacacy Valley Electric as a job foreman. He remained a job foreman until 1984 when he partnered with his brother to buy out the company. Brian is a licensed Master Electrician in Maryland.
President
Functions as Manager of Administration in the day-to-day operation of the company. Responsible to establish and enforce all company policies and to be the general administrator overseeing the marketing, operational, and administrative functions of the company, and producing an acceptable profit level for the company.
Jay was born and raised in Littlestown. He graduated from Littlestown High School in 1974. He attended York College of Pennsylvania and Mansfield State University, taking business and law enforcement curriculum. In 1976 he took a position with Maitland Brothers Company of Littlestown to work in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii as a construction operator. It was at this time he was introduced to the electrical field and was put in charge of the project to complete the contract. In 1977 he returned to Littlestown to work for James Dutterer Electric. He began working for Monacacy Valley Electric in September of 1979 as a foreman. He became project manager in 1984 and subsequently bought into the business as an equal partner. Outside the office, he is an avid hunter, enjoys sports and traveling with his family.
